Buck has always presented as the simplistic strong man with a heart of gold archetype. In actuality, he is profoundly complex and often misunderstood. What he lacks in traditional book smarts (and sometimes, common sense) thanks to his disinterest in school thanks to his woeful childhood, he makes up for in his unmatched acuity for collecting exhaustive lists of facts about particular but numerous subjects that he spends his free time reading about as an adult. He's also profoundly broken by his relationship with his parents and not knowing his place in the world. This often leads to him making bad decisions or clinging to bad relationships for the sake of having them, but thanks to his found family in the 118 and his captain Bobby Nash, Buck has become healthier in his choices in the past several years. New/Potential Partners: If we’ve never played together and you’d like to change that fact, please send me a message introducing yourself and your character(s), and let me know if you have any changes to canon (or your bios if OC), if you have a “read first” page, and if you have any plot ideas. I usually follow back all independent role players, so if I don’t follow you back, I likely didn’t get your message.
Fandom/Original Characters: I will play with any character from any fandom or original realm, even if I’m not familiar with your realm. If I make a mistake for your fandom or realm, please inform me and do so kindly. I’m fragile.
Open Posts/Starter Calls: Posts tagged as “open starter” or “starter call” are open to everyone as long as you’re a roleplay blog. Those closed to a specific verse will be tagged and titled as such. You don’t have to ask before responding to the open or liking the starter call. Feel free to message me if you have an idea for the scene. That can be a big help when responding.
Sending Memes: Anyone can send in a meme or tag this blog in one, but muse-related ones will only be accepted from roleplay blogs, and shipping ones will generally only be accepted from blogs I already play with. Under no circumstance will I do a “list your favorite blogs” meme. Choosing causes me too much stress.
Writing Smut/Babies: Discuss with me beforehand, or I won’t be doing either with you. You and your character must be at least 18 years old if you want to do an explicit scene; otherwise, we will fade to black. I won’t budge on this. Safe sex is also important to me, as is safe/realistic BDSM.
Favoritism: It’s going to happen. I’m steadfast on being a non-selective blog – as in: I will play with anyone – but generally, I will put current partners first as they are my favorite people, and I don’t want to disappoint them.
Reply Reminders: These are fine, but please don’t send more than a couple daily, or I will get flustered and annoyed.
Uncomfortable/Banned Plots: Abuse and sexual assault are two things that I won’t touch under any circumstance. I also ask that you warn and/or tag your posts for both of these things. They are triggering for me. Thank you.
Anonymous Hate: This is not tolerated, and you will be blocked plus ignored. Just don’t send it to me if you’re expecting a reaction. You won’t get one.
Liking/Reblogging Threads: I don’t care if personals like threads. I really don’t. It’s fine. It’s flattering to me. However, many of my partners do mind, and I ask that you respect their wishes. Also, never reblog a scene you are a part of. That’s standard protocol.
Mistakes Happen: We’re all human. If I or you make a mistake, let’s be reasonable and try to fix it. The only thing I consider non-fixable is if you’re abusive or manipulative of me. I don’t need that in my life.
